Panasonic BD30 Firmware Updates

Recently purchased the Panasonic BD30 blu ray player and checked the firmware profile on the player which is 1.0. There is a firmware update on the panasonic site which is 1.6 but it says its for north america! Does anyone know whether this update will update the UK player or is it best to wait for a european version?

I believe that the firmware versions are different, it is quite possible that the UK v1.0 is the same as the US v1.6. If you are not having any problems, or need new features, then you should never update the firmware anyway
