Though Panasonic claims to have devised a new full array backlighting system that may prove highly effective. Someone should play video of a fireworks display on this TV to see how it copes.

LG's 4K OLEDs will hit the market very soon. The 55" model's RRP should be less than £4,000 (assuming it's available here), with discounts to follow.

This is impressive when you consider that, only last year, 55" 1080p OLED TVs first retailed at twice this price. Passsive 3D on a 4K display also makes sense. If LG drops the curve we might finally be getting somewhere.

I tried to start a thread on the new LG yesterday, but my post vanished into the ether.
