Hi All,

I'm looking to buy some outdoor speakers for my garden (budget about £200 give or take) and as usual need some advise. Can anyone recommend any - sound is the most important factor here not asthetics (as i can always blend in with some plants if need be - although that may defeat the object of best sound in doing so).

I've seen the Boston Voyager's being advertised for about £150, but i've also seen the Sonace CRK10 rock speakers (quite literally shaped and look like rocks). I have a bad feeling that they may disguise well but sound awful. I've also seen the monitor audio's MA 10's for £199 so within my price range. Given I have monitor audio's S8's indoors (which i love) i'm very tempted to stick to monitor audio. I go with any brand so long as they sound good....

HELP !!!!

Thanks all

I've got $20 speakers for my 200ft deck (what I call garden) and they work fine given it is really background noise / music I am after. I know a little different from your £200 budget. Running them as Zone 2 off of my amplifier and it keeps guests (and us) happy.

I plan to get the MA 10s when I deck part of my garden. I'd be interested to hear what others think of these too.

I have the MA Climate 10s and they are quite good. Treble and Mids are very similar to the Silver Series speakers but the bass is quite light.

So really they are quite similar the the Radius R90s (which I know you have Gerrard so this will give you some idea)

Bit off at a tangent but have you considered buying some car or boat Drivers and build them in to an enclosure? you will need to be careful with impedance as they are generally much lower impedance, but it may be worth consideration.
