Hi guys

I have just bought the onkyo 606 and Kef 5005.2 spearkers. While setting up the Onkyo with mic to calibrate the speakers the manual says there should be a on tv dislay with all the settings but i dont get anything on.

onkyo is coonected via MONITOR OUT with component cable. It passes through all other types of video like PS3 or DVD but no setup OSD. Help.

I had the same problem with the 2005.2 but I just carried on with the Onkyo display to set up.Just setting off to get the Panny TH37PX80B -if it persists after that I shall have to think about doing something about it.

ps3 via HDMI

sat box via component

Could it be i need HDMI TV to get the OSD for onkyo ?

Hi there kunal_x,

same problem here. I tried composite connection as well as S-video. Went to the setup menu (via the LCD menu) to check whether OSD is set correct. As far as I can see it is. Did anybody maybe reply that the OSD is only available through the HDMI output (which I'm not using (yet))?

regards

Have you switched off HDMI output in the setup menus? That may help. I think the OSD option in the menus is for things like volume display and is separate from the setup display (feel free to prove me wrong).

No need to look. I can confirm that the OSD is only available over HDMI.
