1. NAD dock, dock my iPOD classic, analog out to amp.

2. Wadia or Onkyo dock, dock my iPOD classic, digital out to external DAC.

3. iPOD classic hand held with bluetooth transmitter, Chordett gem bluetooth reciever, external DAC.

4. Music loaded to iTunes on desktop PC, streamed to logitech squeezebox, external DAC.

5. Music loaded to iTunes on laptop, USB out hardwired to external DAC.

6. Music loaded to iTunes on desktop PC, streamed to airport express, external DAC, remote controlled via iPOD touch.

7. Music loaded to dedicated hard drive music server (NAIM HDX or similar) analog out to amp or digital out to external DAC.

I'm sure there are a dozen other options I'm not listing. Now many of you may say how great it is we have so many options. I'm less enthusiastic about it.

6. is what I'm gonna do. Seems to give me most freedom(can stream from both my stationary and laptop, + control via iPhone)

This solution should also produce the best audio if I'm not mistaken.

Just bung it on your computer through iTunes (or similar) or buy the CD. Seriously, the amount of options are a good thing but the basics of it are 2 options.

Meh, just buy that P2 and your worries are over.

(Conveniently doesn't mention the phono stage and cartridge choice considerations...)
