So what is it that justifies a 30 grand price hike over the previous model . Hinges / switch / name plate etc !

My concerns are that having spent £50k on this wonder deck I presume that the sound will be so very much better than the standard LP12 which comes in at a touch under £4k?

I think that you are paying for the name Sir Jony Ive and that's about it, oh nearly forgot, a new plinth and of course those pesky switches and hinges you mention that have such a massive improvement on sound quality.
