Those of us living in Scotland still cannot access STV HD or ITV HD as a proper EPG channel on the Sky platform. Yes, they can be viewed via the ' Other Channels ' route but as such cannot be recorded or paused. Does anyone know when, if ever, they will be brought in from the cold? Many thanks.

ITV and STV did finally agree a settlement back in 2011 that would allow STV HD to launch on the EPG, the fact it still hasn't or even announced a date suggests they've taken the commercial decision to remain off EPG.

Many thanks for the reply Daveh75. Do you think anyone from the What Hi Fi team might be able to find out at source whether all hope is lost?

I got bored asking them every time the World Cup or Euros comes to TV and us Scots miss out on HD coverage. Last time Sky said to ask STV, they said to ask ITV and ITV said to ask STV. I guess they just don't care...

STV'S Glasgow output is available on Freeview in HD on channel 103 but requires a Freeview HD capable TV or box. There we in the north still lose out.
