Question Old amps

The real Nick Mason is an eighty-something drummer, so probably hasn’t the best hearing! 🤭🤣
Funny you say that, I saw an interview with him recently where he said he doesn't even have a decent stereo 😀

Back to the original question I would keep the Arcam too, I had an Alpha 7SE for years, they go on forever.

Agreed, after owning the A300R and Rotel RA-1062, as well as the A400 for a time, I swiftly came to the conclusion that the A400 was overrated.

Depends what you call similar. There's a good chance the Arcam is six or more years younger......
Am pretty sure the OP must know which one he prefers so no idea why he is asking us.

I believe there was a small overlap in production years, so there is a (slim) chance the Arcam is older.

As to what constitutes similar: the older they get the less six years matter. I guess it's a bit like dating. A 40 and a 46 year old you don't notice, a 15 and 21 year old you call the police.

Regarding the OP's question I thought the same. My first thought was he was looking for reinforcement of which was "best" without colouring peoples judgment. Alternatively, he may have picked the both up recently and doesn't know what he has.

No interactions with the answers, so maybe he is one and done and we never hear from him again.
