The real Nick Mason is an eighty-something drummer, so probably hasn’t the best hearing! 🤭🤣The one you like the sound of best?
I have an Arcam Alpha 8 and a Pioneer A400. One of them is going. Which one should I keep? Nick
Funny you say that, I saw an interview with him recently where he said he doesn't even have a decent stereo 😀The real Nick Mason is an eighty-something drummer, so probably hasn’t the best hearing! 🤭🤣
Agreed, after owning the A300R and Rotel RA-1062, as well as the A400 for a time, I swiftly came to the conclusion that the A400 was overrated.Funny you say that, I saw an interview with him recently where he said he doesn't even have a decent stereo 😀
Back to the original question I would keep the Arcam too, I had an Alpha 7SE for years, they go on forever.
Lucky for him that there's not much information in the highest frequencies. Good sound perception is mainly determined by the mid range (voices). 🙂The real Nick Mason is an eighty-something drummer, so probably hasn’t the best hearing! 🤭🤣
Both good amps, similar ages, same power. Keep the one you like most.I have an Arcam Alpha 8 and a Pioneer A400. One of them is going. Which one should I keep? Nick
Depends what you call similar. There's a good chance the Arcam is six or more years younger......Both good amps, similar ages, same power. Keep the one you like most.
