That's where it counts for me too as the majority of my listening is at lowish levels. I suppose I could chuck the others out and move to the country, but then life would be far too easy.

top result, true blue. i think i heard that combo at someones house recently, with a naim dac and some neat standmounts with tweeters on the top! (ultimatum?) the whole system sounded very good, really powerful bass. i've never been that gone on naim kit, but i've only heard it at a dealers before, first time i've ever heard neat speakers too.
most houses i go to have a radio in the kitchen, and that's it.

sadly Joel, that is all too true. although i could cope with the richard hammond stuff, big brother makes me think i'm going to have to speak to these people in simple sentences.

source was a hdx and he did have a power supply but i don't know what. it looked like the poweramp if that helps? turned out after chatting for a while, he had seen me at a naim demo at a local dealers. when i whispered to my gf that i wasn't very impressed*, it would seem i didn't whisper as quietly as i thought i had!
