Briefly, these are words I wrote down during the demo
1. XS + Hicap - Clearer / Crisper / Bass Guitar riff never noticed / Seperation Space
2. Supernait - OMG!!! / Not as clear as 1 / but oomph / occasionally muddled
3. Nac 202 / Nap 200 - Everything of Supernait / easier to follow / not muddled / droool
4. As above + HI Cap - 3d soundstage!!!!!!!

Correct 🙂. 2yr old used NAP 200 + NAC 202 ex dem (2 months old!!!!!) - £1700 🙂

Excellent choices True Blue.
Are you still going to sell the Saturn and get the Naim DAC or is that it for now?
Of course there are the speakers to upgrade as well remember. As good as those R3s are, there is far more potential with the new kit. I would say your system is ready for something like Harbeth Super HL5s now !

Reason I left with it was the deal was too good to turn down.
Once I wipe the smile off my face and have a decent long listen will do a proper review type thing 🙂
Sat here listeneing to "Sultans of Swing" on Vinyl, its effortless, really easy to follow, amazingly detailed.............................wow

Thanks Chebby, you are more than welcome to come and listen your deck sounds sweeeeet. Keeping the Saturn, it sounds too good. Still get the NDac eventually (once this little lot is paid for!!!!!)
PS there is a second hand Nait XS for sale one careful owner at our local emporium.

Slightly more info now sat having a good listen to all my CD's again.
Much easier to follow all aspects of the track. Very refined, superb control on the bass. Really open sound, lots of subtle details there that I had never ever noticed on the XS. It drags you into the music, before you know it the CD has finished. Everything is handled with ease, nothing is strained, forced all very natural and there just appears to be no limit on the available power. This combination isnt shouting or showing off, it just does its job - very very well.
No complaints whatsoever. 🙂

LOL. Wife acceptance was easier when I opened "I saved £1500", then it will only cost £42.50 a week for ten months 🙂

Mind you I've spent £150 on a cable today, and offered another £200 for one to test against it. Funnily enough I shan't be mentioning that.
