Oh dear. A cd is jammed in...

...the loading tray. Just put on Kate Bush and the tray closed on its own before I even pushed the button. The CD is only half in and the drawer won't open.

Any ideas?

Turn it off and pull the tray slightly to release the CD, then turn back on.

If as suggested above dosnt work it looks like a bit of dismantling is on the cards.

Power off/power on. Try opening drawer again.

Power off then unscrew cover and eyeball the situation. See if there's a big clump of 'Axminster' covering a sensor or anything else thats obvious and easy to deal with.

As above, with the power off the draw mechanism should be free to be opened manually. Just don't force anything.

If the disc is skewed or the clamp is partially down preventing this then you'll have to remove the case.

Yes unplugged it (CDP that is) and prised open the drawer.

Think I may to get it serviced.

The player doesn't like Kate Bush and I think its acting out! Well happened with my samsung dvd player. I just opened the case and it was a simple matter to release it from inside. You can do it plasticpenguin, cause I have the motor skills of a 6 year old.
