Switched on the hifi, sat back and thought, hang on, somthing doesnt sound right, had a pop round the back, the top right negative speaker conection wont grip round the thread, it does have some grip but not much, the speakers were bi-wired, i have now single wired them using the plate's to add a bit of grip, they work fine now, i would like to get it fixed, is it easy to do? cant be that expensive?

Wouldn't bother with it mate, just get some jumper cables rigged in and leave them single-wired. That'd be my preference.

RecordSpot and Singslinger : Why use jumper cables if he still has the jumper plates. Sound is better?

jimm : they are right about biwiring, doesn't help anything. But if you absolutely want to, then just cut out a longer run of bare strands and tip it and twist carefully. You'll get double thickness, it should suffice to get a good grip with your plates off.
