I can buy a new Van den Hul D102 interconnect for 99,-- Euro. Also a Nordost White Lightning for 120,-- Euro. Who can tell something about these cables?

My system: Marantz lite amp, cd 6004, KEF R500, nordost flatline speakercable (the basic in white).

Nordost and VDH are the polar opposite of each other.

Nordost are lean, fast, forward and detailed.

VDH are smooth, and some think they sound a little unexciting.

You must have started about 50 cable threads. Do you never actually buy any of these cables that are continually available to you?

If it's the Nordost in silver, then it'll be brighter. If it's copper, then it'll be pretty indistinguishable from the VDH. Personal experience suggests that of the many cables I've tried, the differences are so minor, you'll achieve a greater effect by moving your speakers 6 inches either way or increasing / decreasing the toe-in.

If I were you I would order some online and try them out and then send back the ones you don't want to buy or go to a local dealer and ask them to home demo some.
