I'm from Johannesburg and just been given some gear, as well as bought a turntble.
It started when I was given a Denon DRA-25L. I plugged it into a pair of Mission 730. My wife :roll:, oh well.
Then I drove back to Cape Town to the folks and brought back a pair of Leak Sandwich speakers. I put them in the lounge, but didn't connect them. I phoned a buddy and went over on Sunday last week and came back home with a Linn Basik fitted with an Akito tonearm and Sumiko Pearl MM cartridge.
My wife came to listen and said that vinyl doesn't sound like that
. Why is it so clear? So I said we have HiFi.
Sounds bloody marvellous. Anyone in agreement? :cheers:
