Noisy hard drive

Got a Sky HD 1TB box. It was quiet until recently and now intermittently it makes a humming noise which I presume is the hard drive.

Apart from hitting it with a hammer. Anyone got any fixes?

I know nothing about Sky boxes. But I know hard drives don't hum! Sounds more like a power supply issue... or fans maybe.

Yep looks like you are correct.........the damn thing went Kaput on Friday evening. Was watching a recording and it died.

The best Sky could offer was an Engineer visit 3 days later on Mon pm (today). Imho...rubbish service!!!

Good job when we had the TV installed that we also had the Freesat hooked up (didn't tell Sky that)
