Hi,

I have my EP30 HDDVD/Upscaling player and collect a Pana TH37PX80 at the weekend, also getting the Sagem PVR (250gb drive version) and i have the HDMI and SCART leads to connect all that up, so i am starting to think/plan the audio side....

i have spotted the onkyo SR 605 av reciever for £325, will this be a good buy with my set up or will i hear no differance vs the Onkyo SR505?

As regards speakers wood effect (light colour) non 'style' package required, am thinking Q Acoustics 1010i package or the Wharfedale Dimond 9HCP?

total buget inc cables needs to be 800 or less if possible!!

any thoughts/suggestion welcome.

Tim

Hi, got the pana TH37PX80 at the weekend, so have that connacted to the Toshiba EP30 HDDVD player..............

So my question is what to go for as regards the audio side, as stated in original post i have spotted the Onkyo 605 for about 325 quid, so what speakers would suit this?.................

the budget for speakers as well as cables etc is about 400 or could stretch to a touch more.....................

they need to be small but not a style package as to fit with the style of the room needs to be light wood in colour for example the AV rack i am using is the Alphason ASP900 LO ( the LO is the light oak version)...................

any suggestions welcome!

I'd second the Professor's suggestion. The Q Acoustic 1010i package in Beech. I've got the old 1010s in Beech and they go nicely next to my oak bookshelves. Also They're not too big but do give a great sound. I've got them hooked up to an Onkyo 605 and couldn't be happier. Good luck whatever you decide.
