Av and speakers for 500 possible ?????

Right my loverly wife wants to spend 500 on a christmas present for me and knows i would like a new surround/home cinema system to go with my new lgpz570 plasma .
Now my question is do i go for a one box dvd home cinema system as the pana 370 set up is just over the 300mark or go seperates ?
I was thinking maybe the sony 820 or onkyo 509 reciever and pair either with maybe the jamo 102 or kef eggs1005 speakers ? i know both these speakers are fairly old and hard to come by as most old stock etc but they are in budget !

Any suggestions on anything else ? im thinking seperates as i can upgrade each in time etc .

I know the tannoy hts101 and canton movie pack are great speakers but there out the buget range . also it wont be loud when on as baby daughter will get deaf otherwise !!

Also would stereo music sound anygood or should i not even worry about that in my budget .

Right im gonna go for the onkyo 509 av reciever at around 280notes but not sure on speakers ??????

jamo 102/6 at around 229

kef eggs 1005 at around 250

or the onkyo htp-628 at arond 300 but these come as part of the onkyo 6405 package for 479 all in ?

or the onkyo 509 with the jamos and all cables needed as a bundle for 519 ?

so confused with what to do ! not even sure if the onk 6405 package comes with leads/cables ? and being as the speakers on there own sell for 299 they must be pretty good but cant find a review ?

what would you do as 500 is the limit ? i may even pop to my local richer sounds to see if i can bag a deal there as i got my lg50pz570 for only 615 !!!!
