have just got all new kit together and have a few questions about cables

system is as follows

sony 40x3000 onkyo 875 kef iq7(front) kef iq5(rear) kef iq6 sky + denon 1940 sony bdp300

do i need v1.3 hdmi cables or v1.1 ok?

do i need to run coax/ optical between dvd/blu ray and reciver for audio ?

will i benifit from bi wiring front speakers ?

what is the best way to connect sky + is it worth converting to component video ?

can any 1 recommend a good make and add any other tips on how 2 get the best out off my system

Yes, get one for the Blu-Ray player since it outputs deep colour and your TV can accept this. DVD player only has 1.1 output so no need for a certified 1.3 cable for this.

No, both the Denon and Sony can output sound via the HDMI so just hook these both to your Onkyo.

Probably not worth the hassle from what I've gathered from other posts. Just hook the RGB Scart direct to your TV and then connect standard RCA phono leads to your amp (or optical cable if it has this, but I don't think the Sky+ box does).
