new wireless Micromega

This new Micromega looks interesting. To me - because it can play (wirelessly) apple lossless files. Although the manual says it gets 16 bits max due to itunes limitations...? so. no to 24bit files playback at all or yes but truncated to 16bit?

Also looks like i have to use itunes (not a problem) but if I play one song via the micromega (say in the bedroom), I cannot play another song via the main system connected to thecomputer (say in the living room). i.e. it is not suitable for multiroom?

It's 24/192 capable, but as the press release says:

"(At present, iTunes playback is capped at CD-equivalent 16-bit/44.1kHz, but Apple is expected to raise the bar to 24-bit/192kHz in the future; the AirStream WM-10 is already configured to take advantage, enabling users to benefit from this and other iTunes upgrades immediately.)"

Yes, but you can't transmit it to Airport Express or Apple TV, which downsample to 16/44.
