Ihave a panasonic plasma th37pv60ey which is 10 years old and the picture especalily HD is great.I was thinking of upgrading to a bigger tv maybe 50/55 inch ,but after reading numrous forums im now not so sure as it seems all tvs LCD/LEDS suffer from some kind of backlight /clouding/colour banding/motion/ issues (expect maybe the top of the range which i cant afford ) .The tvs i was looking at panasonic tx50DX700/750 euro 950 / 1,200 sony KD55XD8599BU euro 1,650 (which i cant find a review) samsung UE49KS700UXXU euro 1,500 .I was surprised to see so mant tvs at these price ranges having so many drifferent issues surley in 2016 tvs can be less prone to the above mentioned.I have no problums at all with my tv expect its a bit small.

I bought a DX700 and am happy with it, if you can afford a Samsung ku7000 I would buy that however. The DX700 is a nice tv but it's not really ready for HDR content. The Samsung is significantly brighter and the dimming technology superior.
