New TV and Home Theatre System Advice Sought.

Hi all

Thinking of purchasing a Pioneer PDPLX5090 Plasma, I know that this TV is not the newest on the market so therefore would like to know is it still "deemed" the best, or are there other alternatives of which I should be looking at.?

Also am looking to purchase a surround sound setup - Budget approx £1000.00 for 2 standing and 2 bookshelf speakers,receiver and cables.

A system which interests me is the one seen below (Onkyo and Mission combo) or are there any other systems which I should consider.

Are these Missions value for money??

Alternatively I need a complete system for approx 3 grand.

For £1,000, I'd be very tempted by this system.

For me, the system you've got above seems a little out of balance in terms of the receiver vs the speaker package.

Pioneer LX5090 is still the best TV around, only bettered by its sibling, the KRP 500A.
