Set to LFE only
Bass extraction LPF - should be set to 120hz or off
Crossover needs to be 10hz above the lowest frequency your speakers can play. Usually 80hz is a good starting point.

For surround sound, tonal balance is important. Speakers from different manufacturers may have a different tone, making transitions from speaker to speaker more obvious, thus diminishing the illusion the soundtrack is trying to create.

Having speakers from one manufacturer and a sub from a different manufacturer doesn't matter.

But having different manufacturers for front, centre and rear would not be a great idea.

The same answer applies really.

The Opticon and Rubicon are both Dali so should have a similar sound signature.

You need to hear them to be able to decide.

Budget, space, and how they interact with your room are all important considerations.
