I was looking at Antimode 8033 and 8033s but with my lack of LFE out and two XLR inputs on the sub the connection was a bit awkward.
This thing seems to be aimed at two-channel (incl xlr) bass correction.
What the price is like?

Very interesting and something I would strongly consider getting, almost got an Anti-Mode last year. However I notice it has a Dac/Pre-amp built in which are features I don`t need.

first impression - it is a bit expensive.

But I need to get my head around what it can actually do - it looks like it is:

- two-channel (stereo) multiband dsp-based automatic/manual bass management system that can display response curves

- 24/192(?) USB and 24/96 optical dac

- pre-amp (with only one analog input) with remote control

I would lilke to see the operating manual when it is available.

Yeah, agree it seems expensive for what I`d want it for i.e. room correction,if they bring out a version without the dac etc. I`d probably go for it.

Definitely too expensive to use solely for bass room correction - more than most subwoofers, and a significant slice even of your C4 AlmaataKZ :exmark:

If I understand correctly this model will room correct main speakers and sub woofer, the anti-mode 8033 is for bass only.

There is an FAQ document on the website that documents what it can and can't do. And also what limitations there might be at launch.
Seems like an interesting mix of functionality .. I wonder how good the preamp capabilities are. Interesting to note that the DAC SPDIF input is optical only.

Indeed - but I believe AlmaataKZ is only interested in correction of his sub.

Quite excited about this - especially the Pure Digital mode. Anyone from WHFSV know if there'll be one on demo at the Bristol show?

Don't know about this new offering, but reading about the 8033S just now it seems like a fantastic product. I'm a purist about things like tone controls and EQs, but subwoofers are the exception. I would only use a sub if it had DSP equalization. Subs almost universally sound bad without digital room correction. Some of the better subs have this built in, but the 8033s allows you to add this "must have" feature to any sub. I love it! And it's cheap.

AlmaataKZ, to bad you can't use the 8033s. Maybe you should switch to a more mainstream sub? Your sub is ATC correct? You might consider REL or Velodyne as an alternative. When it comes to subs, I think these dedicated sub companies have the edge.
