Hi all

New to the forums and am trying to piece my system together bit by bit. Currently have PS3 for HD video and a set of Monitor Audio RS1's. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for some products which could complete my system. Also am looking to do it on a budget.

Yes , I do want my cake, and eat it.

Any input gladly appreciated

Looking back the post was rather vague. Got the LG 32lb75 as my TV and got Chord Company 1.3 Silver Plus HDMI cable. Basically looking too see what kind of system I can put together that will make best use of my PS3 (HD audio etc) whilst keeping cost low. Budget is realistically around £500-£600, so maybe a 2.1 system to start with.I aint got the foggiest!

Separates would be the best way to go, so there's the Onkyo TX-SR606 multichannel receiver (£400) that will handle the HD audio from your PS3, and then maybe you could add additional speakers to make up a 5.1 speaker system using your Monitor Audio RS1s for the front left/right channels.

If the Onkyo's too pricey, Sony's new STR-DG820 is just £300 and will aslo handle HD audio. That would give you an extra £100 to spend on your rear/centre speakers and a sub.
