new blu ray player

Hi,

I want to swap my ps3 for a stand alone BD player because I don't play any games on it.

I have a LG PK 950 50 inch plasma tv and an AVI neutron 2.1 set for movies and music.

I don't want to spend a lot (max.300 pounds) and don't need 3d. What is a nice player? In a german magazin the Samsung c6500 won a mega test but in what hifi they only get 3 stars?

I am confused!

At that price, I'd probably just go for the Sony BDP-S370 unless you want wireless, in which case opt for the BDP-S570.

I cannot connect the player with an ethernet cause my router is in another room. Do I need internet for updates? Because I don't need internet for other things because I have apple tv.

Go wireless than with WiFi - the BDP-S570 has this function, as the Prof suggested.

Alternatively you may also want to consider the Sony BDP-S760 that is going for £99.00 at play.com.
