There are not a lot of current 26" tv reviews in the review section. I realise that this is a small tv, but for the moment this is the size we need at home. Small space beside the chimney breast to fill with a tv and it'll be an upgrade from the 20" iMac. The plan is to get this one and then after we move see what space we have for a potentially bigger one if we start watching more tv.
The Samsung LE26A456 / LE26A457 is very scarce at the minute, I've found one at a richer sounds, but it is miles away from me. The ultimate guide to TVs says this is the best 26" tv at the minute, but do you (forum members and whsav staff) have other recommendations in the 300-350 price range. Sony and Samsung seem well reviewed.
I was wondering is the Sansung LE26B450 any good or the Sony KDL26S4000. Primarily I'll be watching Freeview and some HD content via iPlayer and other online sources. So a good 720P tv is fine, I'll hook it up to my amp for sound so that is less of an issue. It will mainly be driven from via a DVI/HDMI cable from my old powerbook using an elgato dtt tuner box. DVDs will come from here too in the short to medium term too.
thanks Gavin
