Yamaha RX-V673 or Pioneer SC-LX56 ?

I see these are both Best Buy champs. '12.

I have B&W 684 fl/fr...'HTM62 cs...'685 sl/sr...Epos Els SW.

Enjoyed the Yamaha review, then realised my speaker outlay was pushing towards the £2,000 mark. (inc. speaker cabling)

So maybe I should up it to the next level , i.e the Pioneer SC-LX56 ?

I'm unable to demo either :help: 80%movies 20%music.

I do like the fact the Pioneer has pre outs which would give further upgrade options with power amps etc.

Why no pre outs on current gen Receivers

Will the Yamaha suffice , is the Pioneer a mismatch for my particular speakers.

I look forward to getting pointed in the right direction from the experts :bounce:

Thankyou.

Cost cutting.

The Yamaha will be a good match, especially tonally, but if you can stretch to an RXA1010 or RXA2010 (reduced as they're discontinued) it'll be well worth it. The Pioneer would be my choice between it and the 673.

Thankyou FrankHarveyHiFi. The Yamaha RXA1010 does seem very appealing to me now as you say they match tonaly with my speakers.

And after the discounts it'll get me a high end amp for mid range prices.

Between the RXA1010 and the SC-LX56.?
