Had a demo today of the Focal Chorus 700 series , had the slim rear surrounds , quite impressive with the Yamaha 667 Receiver.

The only problem was that whilst shopping after i wandered into a Sevenoaks store and saw the Monitor Audio Silver RX1 AV which they currently have 20% discount on. This makes it the same price !!

I was originally comparing it to the Bronze BX range and narrowly preferred the Focal.

Can anyone advise on the MA Siver RX range , is it much better than the BX range , would it be an improvement on the Focal 700?

I have to make a decision this week , HELP!!

Not sure how they match up to the focals, but I am sure they are better than the bx range, especially if you go for RXFX rears.

The Silver RX and the Focal 700 are both £1800 with the Yamaha RX-V667 in different shop sales.

Hi, ive just ordered from RS the yamaha RX-V667 and the kef 2005.3K2 package. The yamaha gets a superb review from WHF and my brov brought one last month in NZ where hes living now and he said it very good. Apparently it performs well with music too and great as a home cinema amp! Can't answer to your speaker packages as ive not seen or heard them but good luck! Just remember only your ears will tell you how good they are!
