i'm thinking of buying a panasonic scbt200 blu-ray home cinema system, could somebody tell me what length are the speaker cables.And can you use other cables

I seem to remember this question going unanswered quite recently so perhaps consider speaking to Panasonic direct - 0844 844 3852. The manual is available for download at the Panasonic.co.uk site and it shows that the amp has proprietary connectors at the amp end. You can sometimes find these on US and maybe UK ebay sellers to fit to other speaker cable. If all else fails, just use a cable of a similar quality and solder the two together and seal with heatshrink. If you don't know how to solder, I'm sure an electrician etc. would be able to help or simply use bullet connectors and tape.
