Hi All,

Alright. I have now finally invested in a Marantz SR6004 which im absolutely in love with. Monitor Audio RX6's and Centre. Now im looking around for a Bluray player..

Just to throw another spanned in the works, i discovered that they are now selling this:

Contains audio upgrades for analog etc..

But heres my question. If the Amp is handling upscaling of all signals to 1080p.. then is there a major reason to get anything other than a PS3 for Blue Ray as there is very little noticeable difference in blueray 1080p performance between say a sony 360, oppo and most standalones..

I would say there is massive difference in every blu ray player especially when you go between brands or even newer and older models in the same brand.

Everyone does blu ray different.

To your question I would say you definetely need a good blu ray player.
