Need help caliberating KDL-46W4500

Hello All,

After months of "research" (since Oct-08, to be precise), I finally have purchased the sony kdl-46w4500 and I am very happy with it,

there is indeed minor clouding, but its not annoying me.

I need help some help with regards to settings - I have managed set the TV up, picture is brilliant but a bit smudgy on the edges (in SD),

Can anyone please help - in getting a finer picture please??? also there's a time-display on the TV (bottom right corner), and I want to get rid of it - PLEASE HELP.

I can't help you with the settings (apart from turn your backlight down to 1-4, set MotionFlow to standard* and turn off all picture processing) but re the time - press the top left button on your remote until it disappears.

*I remember reading somewhere that standard looked the best...

Have you watched this ? Chapter 5 shows you how to set up your tv properly with the THX optimiser found on many DVD's.
