Hi Guys,

I have the opportunity to purchase one of the following and need some advice, please. Which of the following you think will give me the best bang for the buck? I don’t have the chance for audition or test so the only thing I rely on is the word of mouth.

1. Acoustic Revive RR-777, some ultra low frequency generator that claim to improve your listening experience. I am skeptical about this, is this just a snake oil thing?

2. Oyaide Tunami II SP-Y V2 speaker cables. I am using some generic cable of gauge 12 (I think) bare wire.

3. Forget about 1 and 2. Use the money for CDs.

Cheers!

1 sounds like BS, I used to own the Tunami cable and while it's pretty good it's a lot of money to spend on something that may bring a slight improvement at best. Personally I'd either spend it on music or save it and put it towards upgrading your speakers and/or amp.

Thank you ID. for your advice. This is why I like this forum so much, straight up no BS answer. I am very open minded on things that I don't understand as long as I can find a sensible scientific reason behind them. Most of responses from the other forums I lingered would either preach the device without reasons that are convincing enough, or, they just like to see people spent money.

More research for me.

Not really. Cables don't make a difference and CDs are an outdated media. So the only thing that might make any change even by useless reflections is that resonator thingy.

Yes, I'm fu**ing with you.

If I can give you a very sharp advice for number 4 : room preparation. It must not be heavy, but every cent spend on things like absorbers, bass traps, diffusion, will bring a good amount of audible performance.
