Please can you help i would like a 40 or 42 inch tv which will be connected to a V+ box ( no aerial fell off ) through cable.

Kids will watch cartoons etc and when i get a chance the world cup so no hi def tv. No plans for Blueray at present.

Distance from sofa to tv is 6ft currently have a Samsung not 1080p which is 37 inch which will be going into the dinning room.

Budget max £550. But i would like the 5 year warranty that John Lewis or Marks and Spencer give you for free.

Been looking at Sainsbury who have a Tosh 40LV665DB for £399 1080p but only one year warranty and also a Panasonic TX-P42X10B for £499 again only one year warranty.

Been looking for the last 6 months and now my hair is falling out. Please Help!

Hi,

At that size/price you can't go wrong with the Samsung LE40B550 imo. If you look at the review section on the WHF site you can see a review for yourself and decide if it's suitable but i will say pay no attention to the review price of £550 as it's available from Richer Sounds for £399 and at that price it really is a case of you would be stupid not to get one

I really wouldn't entertain the Toshiba even at that price as put simply you can do much better, the Panasonic i know little about i'm afraid as i haven't seen one but the Samsung stomps all over that Toshiba TV for value and at the end of the day it is a 5star TV so i know where my money would go, hope that helps.
