Naim Nait XS with Vienna Acoustics Haydn

I've purchased a 2nd hand Naim Nait XS to match with the Vienna Acoustics Haydn, with the NACA5 cables.

However, the sound is very laid back and the imaging is not good...

Can someone recommends me with a proper setup on both?

or I'm not maching the amp/speakers right?

Can someone post some successful cases by connecting the two?

Almost sounds like the speakers are out of phase or wrongly connected - remember that Naim's left and right are taken from looking at the back of the amp, not the front.

just starting using an entry level cambridge cdp.

any advice for what source I should get?
I'm more interested in the CAS/DAC/computer side
