Naim Nait owners please help

I have a Nait 5i on loan at the moment and every time i turn it on via the power switch at the back i get this loud pop/click through the speakers. is this normal?

Like all NAIM gear the NAIT 5i will sound a lot better if it's left on 24/7 (don't wish to start an eco debate here!). They will make a sound through the speakers when turned off.

Put your mind and rest and dig out the Nait5i manual. In there it actually states that this is normal and won't cause any damage...

edit:: OK have reread post and see you have it on loan so probably don't have the manual - trust me, that's what the manual states!
