I've had mine for a while, very happy with it, detailed, accurate, not overly bright, tracks well, but take care with alignment, as the stylus is quite far back and not easy to see - well it was for me.

And I too am interested to hear your impressions.

wait for another 40-50 hours and it will really begin to open up

I've recommended loads of MP110s to mates and my sister on her RP3

If you want to upgrade in future bypass the MP150 and go to a MP200 - now that is a serious MM with its Boron cantilever - goes on an RP6 lovely too - I had one a few years direct from Japan for about £230 sadly they are now double that.

AudioAffair always offer 10% discount code at Xmas Easter Black Friday etc which would be a good saving

Glad your enjoying it

That was my point. The almost doubling in price of a go-to cartridge means too many other manufacturers came into play, and still are with new firms entering the arena.

If it's anything like the old MP11 and MP11 Boron carts I owned (back in the 1980s) then they should sound like a lot of fun.

Only surpassed (as MMs at least) by the Goldring 1042 (plus two replacement stylii) that I used between 1996 and 2007.

That made lovely, big, gutsy (and ever so slightly scary), sounds with real physical force sometimes. (It was insanely good with my 1980s and 1990s 12" singles.) A bit expensive - then and now - but worth it.

*blush* I've committed a sin,

I've ordered a turntable without a demo, something I would not even contemplate doing..

Circumstances and a fairly decent discount are my downfall.........*diablo*

Ooh, nice one *good* lovely piece of kit and the first person here who's bit the bullet. Black or silver? You must let us know what you think of it when you get the chance. What's your current TT?

Silver only, the GR 1210 is in black as far as I'm aware.

It's here in its box, {God it's heavy} haven't had chance to unpack it.........*secret*

Have you got yourself the G or the GR version. If you've gone for the G then I'd consider you crazy *biggrin*, if it's the GR then you're sane. Either way I'm still jealous *smile* Bit heavier than the standard run o'the mill Rega or ProJect.

Consider me crazy,*crazy**wacko**man_in_love*

In my defence I managed to obtain it with a decent discount.

Plus I wanted a deck that was easy to use and well built.

I consider it a long term investment

I think you have found a one-box solution for all your requirements *good*

Enjoy *smile*

A bit of a classic in the making, possibly! It's what a turntable should look like.

Do report back once you've set it up.
Supreme quality, stunning sound. This is no DJ deck.

As Frankie goes to Hollywood stated

" This is the last deck you will ever buy ! "

They were never designed to be DJ decks. Enjoy.

Something about direct drive decks

a friend let me borrow one his many direct drive decks - a Sony PS 6750 - was taken a back by the drive of the bass line - fugly thing though

he has a Garrard 401 as his main deck with Roksan Tabriz arm - WOW sounds very nice
