I bought the NAD T175 from Vickers Hi-Fi in York a couple on months ago and paid 150 quid for the upgrade card for it to decode HD audio (as advised buy them them) MDC AM220. I had the T175 in last week to have the upgrade installed but it did not work, I returned the unit again on Friday so they could look at it and hopefully sort it. They could not.

They said that it would need to be returned to NAD to be checked and fixed, and also asked if I wanted the HD vidio board installed (at extra cost) so the unit could decode HD audio (as the current vidio card will not pass through the HD audio) I was not happy as I had an email from them before purchase saying that to get HD audio I would only need this one card.

I decided that I wanted the upgrade refunded and left the shop with the unit (working).

What I want to know is can I insist on getting the upgrade to HD audio for the original price (this would include both audio and video board) or return the unit for a full refund.

Chris
