NAD S300

Hi,

I currently have a NAD S300 and I’m looking for an upgrade, £1,000 to £1,500.

Is there something at this price which will give me a substantial improvement or should I remain with the NAD?

hi,

I have Dali Evidence 870 speakers, and I stream to the NAD via a Arcam Bluetooth device.

I’m not unhappy with the sound its just the equipment is old and I’m looking for an excuse to spend money.

My fear is that unless I spend a great deal I’ll see no real improvement.

I did consider a pair of Beolab 18’s but fear they a victory of style over substance.

I wouldn't change a good sounding system buddy because it's old. Amp is respectable. You'd probably have more out of your money looking at speaker and source upgrade.

Thanks, thats what I expected might be the response.

I guess that whilst my stuff isn’t top of the range it’s not bottom either and would require a lot more money to get an appreciable improvement.

In truth the NAD plus the speakers look rather old school too, which I think I’d miss.
