My first home theatre set up.

Hello All,

I'm after a bit or maybe a lot, of advice. I'm currently decorating my living room and I've decided to treat myself to my first home cinema system (and hide all cables behind my soon to be replastered walls). I was thinking of getting the Bose Acoustimass 6 system and a suitable amp but, reading reviews online I'm now wondering if I can get a better speaker system for less money?? My plan is that I will get an amp which I can, at a later date, add something like Sonus to it so I can pump music around the house as well.

So I suppose my questions are: What speaker system do people suggest (I'm after a system that has small speakers (like the Bose system) and what amp should I get to go with it??

Any help or info would be gratefully received. Thanks

Can you tell us your room dimensions and budget please?

Room is approx 15x12 ft. My budget is around £1000 and for that I want speakers and amp but if I can spend less then I can put the change to something like a sonos set up for the rest of the house.
