Unfortunately not as neat and tidy as some on here! Anyway......

After much deliberating I decided to change my Arcam Alpha amps for the NAD C 370. I took a chance on a recommendation. It turned out to be a great move.(Cheers Rick!) I absolutely love it! Effortlessly powerful. It is digging up bass in dance/electronica id never heard before, but not only is the bass deep but it is really tight. This amp has a good grip of the ATCs. No hardening when things go a bit loud either! Acoustic instruments and vocals have much more presence. Anthony and the Johnsons and This Mortal Coil are captivating. I found the soundstage a bit narrower until I messed about with toe in and it is just as good if not better than the Arcams. The Alesis IO2 is a USB souncard I use for recording my own music and I also use it to play music from my laptop. The quality seems really good. I wouldnt mind looking into some other DAC in the future but for now it does the job fine.

I would love to get better electronics when funds are available but at the moment I am really happy with my system. I did have it on a seperate rack but to make more room its all on the Soundstyle. Makes no difference to the performance to my ears. I do want to get a small side table for the Systemdek. Ive spied one I like and that will get purchased in the new year.

The photos arent great. I have no idea how to mess with the settings for closeup etc.

Ive waffled enough. Heres a few pics.

Very nicely organised. Aren't the ATC 40's a huge overkill on your current kit though?

Yeah but I got an offer I couldnt refuse. I planned on changing the electonics but being out of work has put that on hold for the moment. The system still sounds fantastic. If its this good with these electronics I cant wait to hear them with someting far better.

Can't fault getting those speakers. I am a believer in getting the best you can afford. You may not get the best out of them yet but they will still sound excellent and are in place for a future upgrade.

Hi. I just noticed that there had been more replies on this thread.

Thanks again Rick! Loving the NAD more and more! Listening to John Lee Hooker and it sounds amazing. Hearing all the little details and it has bags of atmosphere.

Johnnyjazz. Its an Epiphone Casino I have on the wall. Very similar. I think the Casino is Epiphones version of the Gibson ES330. Its a beautiful guitar though. I play it through a little Orange Crush combo amp an love it.
