Inspired by this thread I decided to put the original links back on my DB1is and it does seem like an improvement over the Nordost links I put in place as soon as I got the speakers. Interesting as the links on my 685s were terrible and the nordost jumpers did wonders for them.

Everything seems tighter for my DB1is.

BTW, how have you got your cables connected? Both in bass/both in treble, or one in bass and one in treble? Have you played around with the configuration and found you preferred once over the other?

Great looking set-up even with the smaller stand - looks impressive all in black and with the Partingtons on either end - make sure these are filled to get the best bass from your speakers. Enjoy in good health!

thanks for you comment, the partingtons are mass loaded with atacama atabites

Cheers. That's how I had them with the biwire jumpers, but on a whim I put them both in the bass when I put the original links back. I'll have a play around when I have some time and see if I can find a difference/preference

As I understand it, the VSX-920 was only latterly enabled to work with the app, so your model might need updating? That's just a guess, mind you. I'd ask your dealer for confirmationClare Newsome is Editor-in-Chief of What Hi-fi? Sound and Vision This is another thread for a different pio amp?!?!
