System, Onkyo TXSR605, with Kef KHT 2005.2 7.1 system, Pioneer BDP LX70A Blu Ray with Sony HDTV.

Picture on this system is great, but think the front speakers lack a little depth and can sound hollow at times, especially the centre. Thinking of buying the Kef Iq5se ( to get better music reproduction) and Kef Iq6 centre and leaving the surrounds and sub from the 2005.2 system. Anyone any ideas if this would work, and will i still get good cohesion from the fron of the system to the rears.

Try the IQ5 SE's as the first upgrade then see if you still need to upgrade the centre.

That will work fine. It's important to keep your main (front three) speakers the same but surrounds are no problem to have sats.
