Mission m33i with denon m37dab sys

Hi, I have a denon m37dAb mini system which is great and has the denon speakers that it came with. I was looking into some stands for them but then was wondering if some floorstanding speakers would be an option - save the price of the stands for a better pair of speakers. How are the mission m33i speakers and would they a good match for the denon? I know they have a different ohm rating (8 vs 6).

Would they be much better than the denon speakers anyway.

Any advice appreciated....

The Denon is a modest system (bought the 38dab for my daughter) in terms of performance. While it will benefit from 'better' speakers it's not worth going too far up the speaker ladder to try and improve the sound.

A better amp maybe the way to go. Using the aux out on the unit into the amp as a source (CD, tuner).

A better amp may allow the speakers to show their true worth.

Just one option you could consider. There are a fair few decent budget amps that will fit your budget out there.check the Richer Sound site for current sales.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Think I'll grab some stands for now as for my purposes at the moment the denon fits the bill, lots of input options, remote control etc and the sound is very good for what it is. will look to upgrade in the future I think when the denon is relegated to the kitchen.
