Howdy folks,

I'm faced with a dilemma of choosing a mini hi fi system for my apartment. I've only done research on the internet so far and haven't popped down to a store to actually listen to any one of them.

Here are the contenders:

iLuv I199 High-Fidelity Mini Hi Fi System £140 @ Amazon (or £99 for the older model)

Klipsch Room Groove - Wireless iPod Speaker System £99 @ Amazon

Sony CMT-BX70DBi DAB Micro System With Built In iPod Dock £99 @ Amazon

Onkyo CS-325UK B Mini Hi Fi £185 @ Amazon

And last, but not least:
Denon D-M37DAB @ £220

The iLuv unit has interesting features like alarm clock and the Klipsch is the most basic of them all, but I'd imagine its got pretty good sound quality?

The mini hifi ones, i.e. Sony, Onkyo and Denon obviously had the advantage of having DAB and speakers that can be moved, if required :) The Sony is definitely the cheapest, but the lacks the pedigree of Denon or Onkyo.

Which one would you recommend? Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Thanks!

You should check the B&W Zeppelin: the nicest of all and for what I've been told it sounds superbly. It's expensive though.

Or maybe the have a look at Bose.

Hi,

Thanks for mentioning the Zeppelin Loudspeaker. However, its a bit out of my budget :-(
