Can anyone suggest why different chargers with the same output and different micro usb/usb cables make a difference? Does the device 'know'? Some cables work. Others dont. Some chargers differ from supplying 0 - 1 amp or more. I have a small gizmo which shows current & voltage on the cable but the variation is inexplicable.

Thanks abacus. Kinda explains some aspects tho all my devices aer 'modern' - 2010 or later so all should be fine. I did make some measurements but guess I need to make some more. I (think) I found differences with cables as well as chargers tho??? I'll do some more tests. Simply put, when away for a few days I take my (2amp) Anker charger and a bunch of cables and I need to make sure all my gizmos charge ok.
