Had occassion yesterday to plug a memory stick into the USB input on my Marantz 603. It came up as 'Unsupported'. Not too bothered I tried another stick with the same result. Now tried all the sticks I have with exactly same result, and I know for definate that some of them were working OK previously but not now.(probably been over a year since I last used this input}. Checked the 603 firmware which confirms it is the latest, also checked the sticks to confirm they are formatted to FAT32. Run out of ideas for now, anyone got a suggestion? Have asked Marantz Support but no response as yet.

Fixed now :) As I suspected, and confirmed by Marantz, it needed a processor reset. I was hoping for a possible alternative as doing this reset means losing all the saved favourites in the radio tuner and also Internet radio. Spent best part of an hour finding and saving those Favourites again. A bit of a chore but had no choice. I suspect this will also be the case for the later models of the Marantz all-in-one models.

Hi Chebby, I wondered yesterday if you might come up on this thread. I know you were quite impressed with the 603, as I am. Alas, I have no iphone, ipad or ipod. Got bluetooth but the 603 hasn't. Not a bother for me, only use radio/internet radio as background noise in the house so not that concerned about bitrates. Use CD and Music Server for the more serious stuff. Hopefully a processor reset won't become a regular thing. Thanks anyway,

Alternatively use an internet radio app like TuneIn Radio Pro* and/or BBC iPlayer Radio via AirPlay with your iPhone, or iPad, or iPod Touch. (Or Bluetooth with the '611 and non-Apple devices.)

* You'll get higher bitrates than the extremely basic internet tuner module in the Marantz can offer, you'll get a better GUI and it'll store your favourites without losing them and you won't be squinting across the room at a small display.
