Hi all,

So I had a SR7012 which developed a strange fault, and would send a surge of power to all speakers when powering on (not the purpose of this thread, but has anyone seen that before!?)

I'm looking to replace it with either the 6015 or 7015. I don't need the additional power or connectivity really, but I'm wondering if there should be a step up in sound quality? A lot of my listening is with stereo music, so the stereo sound quality is important.

Unfortunately I don't have the option to listen before buying at the moment.

Thank you,

Looking online, they seem to use the same DAC and many internal components (same as the older 7012 actually). I'm presuming the extra money just doesn't buy a bit of extra power !

Yeah, the cheapest I can find the 7015 for is £1234... Seems like quite a good deal at the moment.

Basically, you get Auro 3D with 7015 (which is a dying codec in my view), extra zone (3 zones Vs 2 in 6015) and slightly higher power output. What speakers have you got?
