Marantz pm64 II loss of channel

Hi

my amp is playing up. From time to time the left channel drops out, sometimes for seconds but sometimes longer. It's as though dust is preventing the channel working.

This happens on phono/cd/tuner. I've tested speakers they are fine.

Any my ideas please?

the fact that its intermitent suggests a dry solder joint or loose wire,should be easy fixed by a engineer and worth checking the rest of them on a old amp.
