Hello, besides the 7000N having streaming capabilities, is there any difference in sound bewteen these two? which one would be a better option in sonic terms?

Really the only difference (streamer aside) between the Marantz units is a different DAC chip and the 7000N puts out 2x 60W compared to the 2x 45W of the 6007. I doubt there will be any perceptible difference in sound characteristics.

So unless the speakers you're using are better paired with slightly more power, then the choice arguably comes down to whether you want the aesthetics of two similar sized units, or three where one of them is a very different size to the others.

The PM7000N has a better specified power supply and internal parts.

What I am actually trying to decide is this:

Marantz PM7000N + Marantz CD6007
VS.
Marantz PM6007 + Marantz CD6007 - WiiM pro

It all comes down to what you need for streaming and app control. The WiiM Pro is a dedicated streaming device, and its app is widely considered one of the best. On the other hand, the streaming features via HEOS on the Marantz are average, and I find the HEOS app isn’t as reliable as the WiiM.

Just a heads-up—the Musical Fidelity M2Si at Richer Sounds is available through a VIP deal for £499. Paired with the WiiM or the Bluesound Node Nano, it would make for a fantastic setup at a great price.

I have the 7000n and think it's a great amp BUT I have not compared it to the 6007.

As for streaming, I use Spotify and just select the amp from the Spotify app. No need to go near HEOS. (Although HEOS does the job).

The only thing I needed HEOS for was to change the Spotify audio quality to high.

I have not heard the Marantz PM7000N so can't comment on how it sounds, but it's Marantz so it is most likely to sound great. I have heard the PM6007 it is an excellent amp, probably best in class. It punches above it's weight at £500 making it excellent value at the lower price it is at.
What HiFi used the PM6007 when reviewing your speakers and declared them a great match, but did say the speakers are easy to drive and work with most amps.

The cost of streamers (and DACs) is coming down. If you have a network amp you are stuck with all the technology in one box. If separate it is easier and cheaper if you wish to upgrade one of the elements in time. The two options aren't right and wrong, it's just personal choice.

As for how you connect the amp and CD, I would second the point made by @Revolutions they will probably sound the same or similar, but you can experiment with both and see what you like.
